U.S. Highway 70: North Little Rock to Lonoke – Arkansas

🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 23 miles east along U.S. Highway 70 from North Little Rock to Lonoke, Arkansas.

We start the ride on U.S. Highway 70 from North Little Rock to Lonoke at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 365 in North Little Rock. Driving east, we drive through old the old Argenta district, passing City Hall and other historical buildings, to junction with Interstate 30. Passing the interchange with I-30, we continue east on Broadway Ave through North Little Rock, turning northeast at the intersection with U.S. Highway 165. Continuing east through Rose City, we cross the interchange with Interstate 440 to enter the Galloway community, where we cross Arkansas Highway 391.

Leaving North Little Rock, we leave Pulaski County to enter Lonoke County near the town of Keo. As we leave Keo, we parallel the original 1913 highway (you can still drive it too.) Leaving Keo, we continue east for about 7 miles or so, intersecting AR-161 and AR-15 before turning north at the intersection with AR-31 south of Lonoke.

Entering Lonoke from the southwest, we turn east once again at the junction with AR-89 where we travel the remaining 2 miles into town, where we end the video at the intersection with AR-31 north and US-70.
