🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 15 miles south along Arkansas Highway 9 from Morrilton to Perryville.
We start the video at the intersection of Arkansas Highway 9 and Harding Street, just south of the I-40 interchange, in northeast Morrilton. Driving south on Highway 9, we wind our way up a small hill, passing an interchange with U.S. Highway 64 on the other side. Continuing southbound on AR-9 (now conjoined with AR-113), we make our way out of Morrilton, passing the intersection with AR-9B before crossing the Arkansas River. On the south side of the river, AR-113 branches off to the south while AR-9 turns slightly to the west.
Driving west for a little less than a mile, we turn south again to enter the town of Oppelo, where we cross Arkansas Highway 154. Staying on Broadway St (AR-9), we continue southwest out of Oppelo and the Arkansas River Valley. Several miles later we reach the town of Perry, where we meet Arkansas Highway 10 at a four-way intersection. Now conjoined with AR-10, we continue south through Perry on Main Street.
Leaving Perry, we climb the Ouachita Foothills, passing a small picnic area at the summit, before descending into Perryville. Entering Perryville on Fourche Ave, we cross the intersection with AR-60E where we continue into town on Main St (AR-9). A few blocks later, we reach the intersection with AR-60W, where we end the video continuing southbound on AR-9 towards Williams Junction.
