🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 17 miles along U.S. Highway 70 West in Nashville, Tennessee
We start the video turning onto Lebanon Pike from the Briley Parkway (TN-155) near Donelson. Driving generally southwest, we pass through a few residential areas before turning west near the intersection with Spence Ln. Now driving west, we pass the Mt. Olivet Cemetery and cross Browns Creek. A few hundred feet later, the road becomes Hermitage Ave (2:36) as it passes through light industrial and commercial areas. Driving under the Interstate 40 and Interstate 24 interchange, we turn northwest to enter downtown Nashville at Korean Veterans Blvd.
Now on First Ave (3:59), we drive 4 blocks north to intersect Broadway (4:18), where we turn left to stay on U.S. Highway 70. Once again driving west, we pass through the downtown entertainment district, passing Ryman Auditorium on the right and the Bridgestone Arena on the left. Crossing Rosa Parks Blvd (U.S. Highway 41) we pass a few more local intersections before crossing a railroad viaduct.
Continuing on Broadway for 2 more blocks, we turn north, briefly, on George L. David Blvd (5:36) to parallel Interstate 40 for about a half a mile to Charlotte Ave (6:08) where we turn west once again. Driving on Charlotte Ave, we drive through generally commercial areas, passing TriStar Medical Center and Centennial Park before driving under Interstate 440. Passing the I-440 overpass, we drive through increasingly residential areas as we drive west. Soon, we reach the intersection with Tennessee Highway 155 – White Bridge Pike/Briley Parkway (8:58), where we continue on U.S. Highway 70 in Nashville.
Now driving southwest on Charlotte Pike (9:00), we pass through the Charlotte Park area, crossing Annex Ave/Hillwood Blvd and Brook Hollow Rd before reaching the interchange with Interstate 40 (10:42 EB / 10:53 WB). Continuing west on US-70, we cross the intersection with Davidson Rd before ending the video turning into a fuel stop just past the River Road intersection.
