Drive America’s Highways for 15 miles north along Interstate 540 from Fort Smith to Van Buren in Arkansas

We start the video on U.S. Highway 271 in Oklahoma. As we cross into Arkansas and the US-271 interchange, the highway becomes Interstate 540. Travelling northeast, we cross interchanges with US-71 and AR-45 before passing the Fort Smith Airport and turning north.

Driving generally east of Fort Smith, we cross the AR-22 interchange before turning northeast to cross the Arkansas River and enter Van Buren. In Van Buren, we cross the US-64 interchange before reaching the northern terminus of I-540 at Interstate 40, where we end the video taking the I-40 west ramp.
