Arkansas Highway 7 from Ola to Fourche Junction begins at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 10 in Ola. Initially heading west conjoined with AR-28, Highway 7 soon turns south to leave Ola and begin the climb of the north slope of Ola Mountain. Reaching the summit, the road meanders its way down the south slope towards Fourche (sounds like Foosh) Junction.

At Fourche Junction, the segment of Arkansas Highway 7 from Ola to Fourche Junction ends at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 60 at the southwest corner of the Nimrod Dam areas.
