U.S. Route 65: Eudora Arkansas to Lake Providence Louisiana

🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 24 miles south along U.S. Highway 65 from Eudora Arkansas to Lake Providence Louisiana.

The segment of U.S. Route 65 between Eudora Arkansas and Lake Providence Louisiana begins at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 8 in central Eudora. Heading initially south, the highway turns southeast just outside of Eudora for a few miles. Turning south again just north of the Louisiana border, Highway 65 continues into Louisiana as a 2-lane highway.

Shortly after entering Louisiana, the highway intersects Louisiana Highway 585 as it approaches Millikin. Continuing south, US-65 intersects LA-596 before passing through Shelburn as it turns briefly southeast before returning south to follow the banks of Lake Providence. Passing the intersection with LA-2, the Route 65 enters the town of Lake Providence. Curving to the east to follow the south bank of the lake, the highway crosses the intersection with Louisiana Highway 134 as the landscape changes from a rural setting to that of a small town.

Continuing into Lake Providence, the highway turns south once again at Scarborough St, where the segment of U.S. Route 65 from Eudora Arkansas to Lake Providence Louisiana ends.
