Drive America’s Highways for 34 miles east along US-412 Alternate from Locust Grove to Kansas in Oklahoma.
We start the video following US-412 east just before the junction with the Cherokee Turnpike and US-412 Alternate.
Turning left at the fork, we merge onto U.S. Highway 412 Alternate (formerly Scenic 412) where we pass through the community of Sams Corner before reaching Locust Grove and the intersection with OK-82.
Continuing east, we pass through Rose and then cross US-412/Cherokee Turnpike before reaching Leach and finally Kansas.
A quirk of this route: Just before Kansas, there is a sign saying you are in Rocky Ford State Park. Not so much — the actual park is a few miles south and you can access it via OK-412A (turn towards Oaks.)
In Kansas, we cross the intersection with US-59/OK-10. At this point, US-59 joins the route until just before the Arkansas border. We finish the video where the Cherokee Turnpike / US-412 merges with 412 ALT just east of Kansas.

Beautiful country out that way!
Honestly, I never knew that was there until a friend mentioned it. When I think OK, I think flat and open.
