Wow! AHTD has made a few changes to US 167 since I last traveled that stretch from the split off of US 65 down thru southern Jefferson and northern Grant counties into Sheridan! 4 lanes plus a center turn lane! Way to go AHTD! what an improvement! That was always boring to me whenever I did a drive to Sheridan! Mostly I would sub on a bank route from Pine Bluff down thru Monticello and end up in Crossett. I'm sure a lot has changed down that way since I was last that far south in Arkansas since back in 1990! Mark in Iowa.
I think you would be pleasantly surprised with all the highway changes that have taken place in Arkansas over the last, oh, 20 years or so. In the next few years, we are getting 3 new interstates (57 to Little Rock from Missouri), I69 from Mississippi to Louisiana and the finishing up of 530. That doesn't include whatever ARDOT has planned for I-49 corridor out west.Hop in the car and come on down to drive Arkansas' highways 🙂
@Interstate 411 Wow! I guess so! Well very good is all I can say! Yes, I would no doubt be impressed! US 71 from I 40 north to Fayetteville was only a 2 lane winding highway when I last drove it! I've watched a few videos of I 49/ US 71 from Van Buren all the way to the Missouri border and wow is all I can say!
