The drive from Fordyce to Eagle Mills begins at the junction of U.S. Highway 167 and U.S. Highway 79 in Fordyce. Driving initially west, the highway turns southwest near the intersection with Arkansas Highway 8. Continuing southwest on the conjoined US-167/US-79, the highway leaves Fordyce at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 273. Northeast of the town of Thornton, Route 167 turns south while US-79 maintains a southwesterly course to pass through Thornton.
Leaving Thornton heading southwest, U.S. Highway 79 bypasses the town of Bearden to the north, intersecting State Highway 203 along the way. West of Bearden, the highway intersects its old alignment (US-67B) and turns southwest once again for another 5 miles before reaching the intersection with the southern terminus of Arkansas Highway 9, where the video ends.
