The segment of U.S. Route 70 between Hot Springs and Glenwood begins at the intersection with U.S. Route 270 and US-70B in Hot Springs. Traveling southwest, the highway crosses the Ouachita River and enters Rockwell where it intersects AR-192. Continuing southwest out of Rockwell, US-70 passes through the town of Pleasant Hill passing the intersection with AR-227 east of Pearcy.
In Pearcy, the highway turns further southwest to pass through Bonnerdale before reaching AR-192 near Welsh. Passing through Welsh, the highway enters Glenwood, where it splits into a business loop and the main highway. Continuing along the south side of Glenwood, the segment of US-70 between Hot Springs and Glenwood ends at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 8 on the southwest side of town.
