🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 54 miles south along U.S. Highway 49 from Brinkley to Helena/West-Helena in Arkansas 🛣️

The segment of U.S. Route 49 from Brinkley to Helena/West-Helena begins at the interchange with Interstate 40 in Brinkley. Travelling south through town as Main Street, the highway intersects U.S. Route 70 at a 3-way interchange midway through town. Now joined with US-70, the highway continues south where it intersects AR-238 before turning southwest to leave town.

At a 3-way intersection at the city limits, US-49 splits off from US-70 to continue south towards Marvell. Staying southbound at the U.S. Route 79 junction, the highway turns southwest to pass through the community of Blackton before turning more or less west at the intersection with AR-86.

Crossing the intersection with AR-39, the route continues into Marvell where it intersects and picks up Arkansas Highway 1. Leaving Marvell, US-49 passes the intersection with AR-316 before entering the community of Walnut Corner where AR-1 heads northbound. At the same intersection, AR-85 heads southbound.

Entering the West-Helena part of the city of Helena/West-Helena, the segment of US-49 from Brinkley to Helena/West-Helena ends at the intersection with US-49 Business Loop.
