Embark on a scenic 90-mile journey along the historic Natchez Trace Parkway from the charming city of Natchez to Jackson, Mississippi. This video documents the drive north, beginning at the southern terminus of the Parkway, located on the eastern edge of Natchez, MS.
As we travel northeast, the route frequently intersects with US-61, offering glimpses of the surrounding landscape. Our drive includes several stops at designated roadside areas, perfect for stretching your legs and taking in the natural beauty. A notable stop along this section is Locust Grove, where we pause for a brief break.
Continuing northeast on the Natchez Trace, we reach the town of Gibson, a convenient location for a fuel stop. From here, the Parkway takes a more east-northeasterly direction, passing through areas rich in history and natural features, including Rocky Springs, Reganton, and Cayuga.
The route then approaches the interchange with MS-27 near Utica. Staying on the Natchez Trace at MS-27, we proceed northwest of Raymond before making a final stop just before reaching the interchange with Interstate 20, which marks the end of this segment of the drive from Natchez to Jackson.
This drive along the Natchez Trace Parkway offers a unique and picturesque way to travel between Natchez and Jackson, providing a slower-paced alternative to the interstate and a chance to experience the history and beauty of Mississippi.
