Drive America’s Highways for 41 miles west along Missouri highway 96, the new name for the historic Route 66 from Interstate 44 at Halltown to Carthage at the Route 66 Drive-In.

At the beginning of the video, we make a detour onto Missouri Highway 266 before turning onto the original 1926 alignment towards Gay Pirata service station a half mile or so down the road.

After a brief stop at Gay Pirata, we continue on the 1926 alignment until rejoining Missouri Highway 96, one mile later as we drive towards Carthage and later, Joplin.
