Interstate 40 in Albuquerque – New Mexico

Drive America’s Highways for 23 miles west along Interstate 40 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

We start the video passing exit 125 in Tijeras — just east of the Sandia Mountains from Albuquerque. Driving across the scenic Sandias, we make our way into Albuquerque along the Coronado Freeway through Carnuel, where I-40 turns generally northwest until nearly downtown. In downtown, we cross the “Big I” — a flyover interchange with Interstate 25 — as we continue west past Old Town and the Rio Grande.

Just over the river, we cross an interchange with NM-45, Coors Blvd, before turning generally southwest. We end the video exiting I-40 for a fuel stop at Arroyo Vista Blvd, exit 153.
