🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 25 miles north along Arkansas Highway 9 from Mountain View to Melbourne, Arkansas.
This segment of Arkansas Highway 9 begins at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 5, just east of downtown Mountain View. Travelling generally north with a conjoined Highway 5 and 14, Highway 9 splits off at the town of Allison and heads northeast into Izard County.
Now heading northeast, the highway climbs Polk Mountain, often with tight switchbacks, as it makes its way towards the community of Brandenburg. Continuing northeast, the highway begins to straighten out as it reaches the top of the valley. West of Melbourne, AR-9 turns generally east as it flattens out to pass through rolling hills and farms, dotted by thick forests.
Entering Melbourne from the southwest, AR-9 spawns a spur route before entering downtown, where the video ends at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 69.
