Arkansas Highway 69: Moorefield to Jacksonport

🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 21 miles south along Arkansas Highway 69 from Moorefield to Jacksonport.

We start the ride from Moorefield to Jacksonport at the intersection with AR-233 in Moorfield, outside Batesville. Driving initially east, we leave Moorefield and ride about 4 miles to Sulphur Rock where the highway turns south. Passing the intersection with AR-294, we enter Magness where we turn briefly east once again towards Newark.

At Newark, we turn south once again to bypass town, turning east once again just before the intersection with AR-122. Continuing south (east) on highway 69, we turn south for about a mile to bypass the Entergy Independence Plant. Turning east once again, we continue 6 miles to cross the Black River and enter Jacksonport. Passing the town to the north on AR-69, we turn south into town on AR-69 Spur, where we continue for just under a mile to Jacksonport State Park, where we end the video at the Visitors Center Parking Lot.
