Arkansas Highway 60 from Fourche Junction to Perryville begins at the intersection of Scenic Arkansas Highway 7 near Nimrod Lake. Leaving Fourche Junction (pronounced Fooshe), Highway 60 travels generally east between several ridges in the Ouachita Mountain region of Arkansas.

Passing through the small towns of Nimrod and Aplin, where the highway intersects AR-155, AR-60 makes its way to Perryville where the segment of AR-60 from Fourche Junction to Perryville ends at the intersection with Arkansas Highway 9.
