The segment of Arkansas Highway 298 from Story to Hot Springs Village begins at the junction with Arkansas Highway 27 in the town of Story. Travelling generally east along the north shore of Lake Ouachita, Highway 298 makes its way through the Ouachita National Forest for almost 30 miles with no major intersections or junctions, except for it’s end near Hot Springs Village. At the west end of Hot Springs Village, the segment of Arkansas Highway 298 from Story to Hot Springs Village ends at the junction with Scenic Arkansas Highway 7.
