🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 13 miles north along Arkansas Highway 27 from Mt. Ida to Story. 🛣️

The segment of Arkansas Highway 27 from Mt. Ida to Story begins at the junction with U.S. Route 270 in Mt. Ida. Travelling initially northeast, the highway winds its way through the Ouachita Mountains as it makes its way northbound. Crossing Hovel Creek in the community of Sweet Home, AR-27 curves to the north to intersect Arkansas Highway 188.

Continuing north, AR-27 crosses the Ouachita River to enter the small town of Washita, where it intersects one of several segments of Arkansas Highway 88. Leaving Washita from the north, the highway continues through the Ouachita National Forest to the small town of Story, where the segment of AR-27 from Mt. Ida to Story ends at the junction with Arkansas Highway 298.
