U.S. Highway 60

U.S. Highway 60 is a mainline U.S. Route running about 2700 miles east to west from Virginia to Arizona. Though it has a 0 in it's number, it is not a transcontinental route. Prior to 1926, the eastern terminus was in Missouri, but was extended through to the east coast after an agreement with Kentucky on future routing. Originally beginning in Los Angeles, all of California's portion of US-60 has been renamed CA-60, pushing the western terminus roughly 35 miles east of the Arizona border near Brenda.
