🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 29 miles south along U.S. Highway 65 from Lake Providence to Tallulah, Louisiana.
The section of U.S. Route 65 between Lake Providence to Tallulah begins in the small town of Lake Providence at the intersection of Lake St. and Scarborough St. Travelling south, the highway leaves Lake Providence just north of the intersection with Louisiana Highway 3181. Continuing south more or less on the west bank of the Mississippi River, the highway passes through the communities of Hollybrook and Atherton before entering Transylvania to intersect Louisiana Highway 581.
Leaving Transylvania, the highway intersects LA-580 before turning slightly southeast at the community of Roosevelt. Traveling 8 miles southeast, the highway turns sharply southwest just north of Tallulah. Entering Tallulah, the highway splits into a northbound (Cedar St) and a southbound (Chestnut St) route as it passes through town. Intersecting U.S. Route 80 at the intersection with Green St, the Lake Providence to Tallulah along U.S. Route 65 ends as we turn eastbound on US-80.
