Interstate 465 is a 53 mile beltway around the greater Indianapolis area in Indiana. Although a loop, the route itself is roughly rectangular and lies almost completely within Marion County. It crosses I-65, I-69, I-70 and I-74 and provides additional access to Interstate 65 via I-865. Except for Interstates 65 and 70, all numbered highways within Indianapolis are routed around the city concurrent with Interstate 465. Upon completion of Interstate 69, a one-mile section will carry 9 routes concurrentlly: I-465, I-69, US-31, US-36, US-40, US-52, US-421, IN-37 and IN-67.
