Interstate 369 (I-369) is an auxiliary route of Interstate 69 located in eastern Texas. This relatively new corridor is being developed to provide a high-speed connection between the city of Texarkana and other parts of the I-69 system. Ultimately, I-369 will serve as a vital north-south route through the Piney Woods region, improving mobility and fostering economic development in northeast Texas.
The southern terminus of I-369 is planned to begin near Tenaha, Texas, where it will connect with future I-69 and US 59. From there, the route will travel north, overlapping much of the existing US 59 corridor. The completed segment of I-369 currently runs for approximately 3.5 miles on the west side of Texarkana, between I-30 and US 59. This segment is fully signed and open to traffic, serving as the first completed portion of the larger project.
Once fully constructed, Interstate 369 will play a strategic role in the I-69 system, offering a streamlined bypass around small towns, reducing freight congestion, and enhancing connectivity between northeast Texas and national and international trade routes via I-69 and the future I-69 International Trade Corridor.
