Interstate 70: Frisco to Glenwood Springs – Colorado

🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 87 miles west along Interstate 70 from Frisco to Glenwood Springs, Colorado 🛣️

We start the drive from Frisco to Glenwood Springs merging onto Interstate 70 from Colorado Highway 9 (exit 205) in Frisco – about an hour west of Denver. Driving initially southwest, we soon reach the interchange with CO-91, where we turn west at Copper Mountain. A few hundred feet later, we turn northwest across Vail Pass Summit (4:05) towards Vail, where we return to a more westerly route.

Passing through Vail, we take a quick fuel stop at the interchange with U.S. Highway 24 before continuing on I-70 through Avon and Edwards, where we turn briefly northwest to enter Wolcott. At Wolcott, we cross the interchange with CO-191 before turning southwest again to enter Eagle. At Eagle, we turn west once again for a few miles to pass through Gypsum and Dotsero before turning southwest to enter the scenic Glenwood Canyon.

Following I-70 southwest through the Glenwood Canyon, we pass through several tunnels while descending 1,300 feet into Glenwood, where we end the video leaving I-70 at the interchange with Colorado Highway 82 towards Aspen.
