Drive America’s Highways 11 miles east along the length of the East Belt Freeway, Interstate 440 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Along the way we pass Clinton National Airport (formerly Adams Field) and the Little Rock River Port before crossing the Arkansas River and US-70 in North Little Rock and ending at Interstate 40.
Interstate 440 was first proposed in 1941 as part of a planned loop around the Little Rock metro. Together with I-430 and the recently opened AR-440, the loop is about 2/3 of the way complete, with only the northwest segment unfinished.
