Drive 22 miles on Interstate 40 West in Oklahoma from mile marker 33 west of Elk City to Erick at mile marker 11. During this drive, Route 66 re-joins I-40 at the start of the drive and runs concurrently for a few miles before leaving at N. 4th St (Exit 25).

For the remainder of Oklahoma, Historic U.S. 66 stays on its original alignment until the Texas State Line.

Along this route, the interstate overlaps the old Route 66 and at one time was signed as Route 66. We have marked such segments in this and all future videos with appropriate signage during the overlap.
