America’s Highways for 21 miles southwest along various county roads to Chaco Culture National Historical Park, west of Nageezi, New Mexico ? ️

Our route starts at US-550 just south of Nageezi and heads southwest on Indian Road 7061 before turning west on Road 7950. A few miles into the trip, the road turns from pavement to gravel, and then into dirt. If you plan on making this trip, make sure your car can handle it. We did this in a Toyota Tundra, so it wasn’t so bad, but smaller vehicles and large campers may have issues (we did pass a UPS van on the way out, so vehicles that size can pass without incident). Once at Chaco Canyon, the pavement returns.
