Drive America’s Highways for 71 miles south along scenic Arkansas Highway 7 from Jasper to Dardanelle
We start the video driving southbound on Arkansas Highway 7 out of the small town of Jasper. Leaving Jasper behind in the valley below, we soon pass the Arkansas Grand Canyon as we wind our way towards the Ozark National Forest. Entering the Ozark National Forest, we soon reach the intersection with Arkansas Highway 16, where we continue southeast on scenic Highway 7 to just north of Sand Gap at the intersection with AR-123 north (the Arkansas Dragon, for you motorcyclists out there).
At Sand Gap, we cross the intersection with AR-123 south and AR-16 east as we continue our southerly drive towards Dardanelle. Winding our way out of the Ozark National Forest, we pass the intersections with AR-164 and AR-333 before reaching Dover, where we turn south at the intersection with AR-27 to stay on AR-7 towards Russellville and Dardanelle. Soon after leaving Dover, the road turns into a 4 lane highway with a center turn lane as it straightens out to pass through Taral before entering Russellville just north of the Interstate 40 interchange.
At I-40, we continue on highway 7, now called Arkansas Ave, into Russellville, where we pass by Arkansas Tech University before reaching the intersection with U.S. Highway 64 (Main Street). Staying southbound on AR-7, we cross the intersection with AR-247 before crossing the Arkansas River to enter Dardanelle, where we end the video at the intersection with AR-22.
